About the Position: This position is located with the Fox Army Health Center SSO Stand-Alone MTF Redstone Arsenal, AL. Small team focused on excellent patient centered care. Personal office space located within Quality Management (QM) reporting directing to the Chief of QM. Monday-Friday 0730-1600. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. PRINCIPALES MISSIONS : Act as a liaison between the patient and the healthcare delivery system by providing an effective two-way channel ofcommunication. Assist with investigations of patient related situations and, provides guidance to concerned Directors and Department Heads in solving problems. Advise the Director for quality management of incidents, situations, or problems which have potential for litigation involving the U.S. Government. Use basic measurement tools and techniques to collect, analyze, and report on quantitative and qualitative data and information. Assess patient satisfaction through analysis of patient complaints and review of patient questionnaires. Participate in community health related activities, groups, or meetings as a speaker, a member, or a guest. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing assistance to patients who have concerns or grievances regarding their health care; documenting patient interviews; and utilizing an automated system to maintain patient files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management or Case Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
