You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Information Technology & Cyber Security Office (Code 109) of PSNS and IMF.
PRINCIPALES MISSIONS :
You will provide project lead electronics technician support assessing administrative, physical, and technical security risks to software and hardware components related to systems security.
You will establish operating guidelines for department/division/branch functions.
You will plan work to be accomplished by junior-level employees, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
You will identify and implement process improvements to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers in test processes, and to increase the quality of products delivered.
You will maintain technical cognizance of new and improved systems and methods and incorporate new and improved equipment and methodologies into department/division/branch operations.
You will oversee and direct the planning for installation and testing of security systems along with exercising expert judgment when necessary to interpret policies and guidelines when issues or unusual situations arise.
You will provide jobsite technical assistance and maintenance recommendations to supervisor and personnel engaged in support and technical issues related to Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Automated Access Control Systems (AACS).
QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES :
FOR GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of planning, developing, and advising on electronic or electrical system designs, specifications and products to resolve problems associated with technical services that are inclusive but not limited to the design functions of AACS, CCTV systems, perimeter access and detection systems, programmable logic controllers and NVR systems. FOR GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of planning, developing, and advising on electronic or electrical system designs, specifications and products to resolve problems associated with technical services that are inclusive but not limited to the design functions of AACS, CCTV systems, perimeter access and detection systems, programmable logic controllers and NVR systems.
