About the Position: This is a developmental Administrative Officer position within the USACE, Northwest Division, Omaha District, Engineering Division. The incumbent will receive assignments designed to develop their skills and knowledge until reaching full promotion potential to the target position of Administrative Officer GS-09.
PRINCIPALES MISSIONS :
At the Target GS-9 Grade, as an Administrative Officer, you will:
Execute administrative programs and policies, and a variety of actions which require fact-finding, coordination, recommendations, implementation, and follow-up.
Work closely with Branch/Section Chiefs, Division administrative officer, and senior managers in studying and reviewing administrative activities in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Primary areas of responsibility include assisting in the preparation of reports, preparation of personnel actions, training and personnel coordination, awards, training, special meeting/presentation preparation.
Serve as the Government Purchase Card (GPC) manager for associated Branch, and manages credit card accounts, commitments, obligations, and expenditures, and assures they are within the allocated branch budget.
Serve as primary point of contact (POC) for timekeeping of employees.

For GS-07: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Preparing documentation for correspondence, timekeeping, etc.; and 2) Maintaining records in support of office employees; and 3) Compiling data for reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Economics etc. OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement.
