About the Position: This is a Logistics Management Specialist, GS-0346-09 Target GS-11 position for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mississippi Valley Division, Vicksburg District, Vicksburg, MS.
PRINCIPALES MISSIONS :
Provide input and monitors the budget for logistical requirements. Review requisitions against authorized allowances, according to the appropriate authorization document.
Provide input to be used in analyzing and assessing the streamlining of processes to improve customer service.
Initiate and recommend actions in the establishment of annual service contracts, as well as inter-service support contracts relating to subsistence support.
Provide guidance, prepare, and recommend new or revised procedures and regulations for local application.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes: logistical support programs such as supply, maintenance, transportation, fleet and facilities; providing input and monitoring the logistical budget; and/or assisting in the disposition and redistribution of excess equipment. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business, supply chain management, and transportation. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience For GS-11 One year of Specialized Experience which includes: managing oversight for all operations of buildings, utility systems and/or janitorial services; scheduling maintenance of equipment; determining space management utilization and control; assigning supplies, equipment, and/or materials.
