The primary purpose of this position is to provide supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage or other items that are unique to the organizations mission or are seldom handled.
PRINCIPALES MISSIONS :
Intensive knowledge of local supply requirements to ensure supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for items requiring special handling. Assist and participates the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics workforce management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Evaluates reports by analyzing facts and performing appropriate research and prepares detailed responses. Researches and determines or recommends appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact organization, installation, command, or agency.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES :
Experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year (52 weeks) of experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or next lower pay band of NJ-01 in the federal service which includes knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles and concepts, unique supplies, equipment and parts requiring unusual degree of protection in shipment and storage, and determine the best method of procurement and other issues that influence supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing. 2. Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance. 3. Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas. 4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations. 5. Ability to work with, lead, and manage carious groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution. 6. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procuedures as required.
